Business Packaging Ideas
PACKAGING
Packaging has many modern uses. Foremost among them is for physical protection against shock, sudden temperature changes or unnecessary vibration. It also serves primarily as a barrier against water, dust and permeation. It can alternatively be used as a form of advertising through the labels that contain product information. Packaging ranges from very simple to very complex such that there is now on offer in some colleges a new course called “packaging engineering”. This course deals mainly with the correct packaging materials to be used with regards to certain products and how to prolong that product’s shelf life at the supermarkets. Sturdy packaging helps greatly in the logistics and distribution of many perishable products.

Protective Packaging
Security is also utilized through packaging techniques to prevent pilferages by employees. A new use is tamper-proof packaging used mostly in medicines to guarantee the genuineness of certain drugs sold in the pharmacies. Another benefit from new technology in packaging is the use of RFID (radio frequency identification) to embed a tiny code on the product. Only those products with the code are considered as genuine. Products sold without the RFID are generally counterfeit items.
